What is the reason for the frequent increase in temperature of the headset bearings?

As a common bearing, the bowl bearing is a very important part in many cases. When used in the equipment, the temperature often rises. What are the main reasons for this phenomenon? This issue will briefly explain this aspect.

First: Is the quality of the grease deteriorating? If the viscosity of the lubricating oil is high, the temperature of the INA bearing will also rise;

Second: If the bearing assembly is too tight, the insufficient clearance will also cause the flange bearing temperature to rise;

Third: The customized assembly of the mountain bike bowl bearing is too tight, which will also cause the bearing temperature to rise;

Fourth: The bearing race rotates on the shaft or shell, which will also cause the bearing temperature to rise;

Fifth: Too much bearing load will also cause the bearing temperature to rise;

Sixth: If the bearing cage or rolling element is cracked, it will also cause the bearing temperature to rise.

After the bearing is pressed into the INA bearing, it should rotate flexibly without any sense of hindrance. If there is obvious inflexibility in rotation, it means that the shaft size is too large and the tolerance needs to be lowered. For example, if there is an obvious "sandy" feeling when the imported bearing is pressed into the shaft and turned by hand, it may be that the shaft tolerance is too large or the shaft roundness is not good. Therefore, when controlling the tolerance of the shaft and the bearing chamber, the roundness must also be controlled. At present, many manufacturers in my country only control the tolerance and do not control the roundness.

When the customized road bike headset bearing products are installed on the rotor for dynamic balancing, it is easy for the iron pins generated during dynamic balancing to enter the INA bearing. Therefore, dynamic balancing is performed before installing imported bearings. In order to facilitate assembly, some manufacturers apply some oil or grease to the bearing chamber for lubrication during assembly, but often the operator cannot control the amount well. If there is a lot of oil or grease accumulated in the bearing chamber, it is easy to enter the bearing along the shaft when the bearing rotates. Do not apply oil or grease to the bearing chamber. If you must apply it, control and prohibit accumulation in the bearing chamber.

The price of bowl set bearing manufacturers is very high, so their own characteristics are very obvious. For example, the characteristic of paint rust is that it often occurs in enclosed motors. The motor sounds good during assembly, but after being placed in the warehouse for some time, the motor makes a lot of abnormal noise, and the INA bearing is seriously rusted after being removed. In the past, many manufacturers would think that it was a problem with the flange bearing. After our continuous publicity, motor manufacturers have long realized that it is generally a problem with insulating paint. The root cause of this problem is that the acidic substances volatilized by the insulating paint produce corrosive substances under certain temperature and humidity, corroding the bearing groove and causing bearing damage. At present, the only way to solve this problem is to use good insulating paint and assemble it after drying and ventilation for a period of time.
