As a manufacturer, bearing manufacturers often do not know enough about the details and installation methods of their products, but as a manufacturer, many installation methods must be known, such as the installation method explained in this issue, which are all contents that need to be understood.
1. Use copper rods and manual hammering to install
This is a simple way to install small and medium-sized bearings. When the inner ring of the bearing is in a tight fit and the outer part is in an overly loose state, the copper rod is pressed against the end face of the inner ring of the bearing, and it is directly hit with a hammer. According to the force transmitted by the copper rod, the bearing is slowly installed on the shaft.
Stainless steel bearing manufacturers should note that when the inner ring of the bearing is large, the copper rod can be used to evenly knock near the edge of the inner ring of the bearing. Do not knock only one side, and do not knock too hard. It should be evenly knocked, gently knocked, and installed slowly to prevent the bearing from tilting.
2. Use sleeve installation
This method is the same as the principle of using a copper rod to install the bearing. It presses the sleeve directly on the surface of the support (when the support is installed on the shaft, press the end of the inner ring; when installed on the opening of the chassis, press the outer end), so that the hammer force can be evenly distributed on the surface of the entire ring of the installed bearing, and can be used in conjunction with a punching machine, saving labor and effort during installation, and stable quality. The sleeve used must be soft (it can also be copper or low-carbon).
When the bearing is connected to the shaft, the inner diameter of the sleeve should be slightly larger than the journal by 1~4 mm, and the diameter should be slightly smaller than the diameter of the inner ring of the bearing, or based on the thickness of the sleeve, its thickness should be 2/3~4/5 of the inner ring of the bearing, and the two sides of the sleeve should be flat and perpendicular to the cylinder. When the bearing is installed in the hole here, the diameter of the sleeve should be slightly smaller than the diameter of the bearing.
Stamping
When installing, non-standard full ball bearing manufacturers need to pay attention to the fact that the installation pressure should be directly applied to the surface of the connected bearing ring, otherwise it will cause clamping on the working surface of the bearing, causing the bearing to be damaged quickly.
3. Heating installation
For large bearings or large bearings, the principle of thermal expansion and contraction is adopted. The bearing is placed in a can and then fixed with a copper rod, sleeve and hammer for easy installation. The temperature during heating is usually lower than 100℃, and 80~90℃ is more suitable.
High temperature will anneal the raceway and rolling element of the bearing ring, reduce its hardness and wear resistance, thereby shortening the service life of the bearing and causing it to be damaged in advance.
The fit between the bearing and the shaft is usually connected, while the hole of the washer and the support is usually clearance fit. In order to avoid rotation with the shaft, the intermediate shaft ring of the double bearing must be fastened to the shaft. The installation method of the bearing is usually to rotate the shaft, so the inner ring of the non-standard thin-walled bearing manufacturer's products and the shaft are connected, while the outer part of the bearing and the bearing cavity are clearance.
When installing the bearing, first fix the measuring instrument to the end of the chassis, then use the contact of the dial to rotate on the top of the bearing sleeve, and observe the pointer of the counter at the same time. If the pointer is offset, it means that the shaft ring and the axis are not vertical. If the hole in the box is deep, you can also use an extended measuring meter. This is a good way to test the verticality of the shaft ring and the shaft.
